Yes, you can pause your alerts by going into your 'Alert Set Up' and clicking 'Edit.'

Once you are in the Alert settings at the top right hand corner you will see 'Enabled' or 'Disabled.' To disable an enabled alert you can just click on the toggle and it will now be disabled or vice versa.
