If you are using pipe monitoring sensors, you can create a special Pipe monitoring report.
This gives you an overview of the water temperature and water movement over a specific period of time, and provides a Pass or Fail result for each sensor based on standard measures detailed below.
Remember: Reports can only be viewed by the person who generated it. So when sharing reports it's best to download it and then share it. Adding multiple emails will just alert users of a report being ready, but only the report generator will see the report in the app.
Creating One-off or Recurring Pipe Monitoring Reports from Folder View
To begin you want to go to the Folders page
Now go to the specific building folder where the pipe monitoring sensors are located. You can also filter options by sensor type, this will bring up all sensors of that type in the folder.
Once in your chosen building you can select the sensors whose data you want in the report.
Now you’re ready to build your report. Click on the 'Build Report' button at the top right hand corner of the page, next to 'Delete Selected.' A pop up will appear, prompting you to choose between a one-off or for a recurring report.
You will see that 'General sensor event report' will already be selected, but you want to select 'Pipe Monitoring.' Here you will need to add the report name, date range and the time zone.
For a recurring report the only difference is that you choose how often it is sent out and what email it is sent to.
For Pipe Monitoring reports you can also select which data you would like to export. This can be "temperature only", "water flow only", or "combined". More information about what these mean can be found here.
Once you have decided what report you need you can click download or schedule
When the report is ready there will be a small pop up at the top right hand corner informing you that the report can be downloaded.
The report will be able to be viewed in excel, google sheets or any other similar application
One-off or Recurring Reports from Sensors View
To build a report from the 'Sensors' view, you need to start in 'Sensors' view
Next you will need to filter and select the location of the sensors you want in the report at the top of the page next to the search bar.
Now you will need to filter the sensor type by pipe monitoring.
Now you will need to filter the sensor type by pipe monitoring.
Once all the filtering is done you then select the sensors you want in the report or you can select all by selecting the box at the top, next to 'Type.'
Now you’re ready to build your report. Click on the 'Build Report' button at the top right hand corner, next to 'Manage Labels.'
You will see that 'General sensor event report' will already be selected, but you want to select 'Pipe Monitoring.' Here you will need to add the report name, date range and the time zone.

Where to find your reports
All reports that have been generated within the last 90 days are stored in the Reports section of the platform.
Understanding your pipe monitoring report
The report will show you the maximum and minimum temperature reached for each sensor, within the chosen report period. Based on this and other sensor data, it will display 3 different Pass or Fail results:
Temp check
Water moving check
Result
Temp check
In order for a sensor to receive a Pass rating in the Temp check column, it must satisfy the following criteria:
Sensors with Hot sub-type need to reach 50°C at least once within the chosen report period.
Sensors with Cold sub-type need to fall below 20°C at least once within the chosen report period.
Sensors with Calorifier flow sub-type need to stay above 60°C for the entire chosen report period.
Sensors with Calorifier return sub-type need to stay above 50°C for the entire chosen report period.
Remember: These criteria are different for Healthcare settings. Also Sensors with Generic sub-type are not included in the Pipe monitoring report, since they have no Pass/Fail parameters. These are used for miscellaneous monitoring, such as temperature safety for hand washing on TMVs.
Water moving check
A water moving event is defined by a rapid change in water temperature over a short period of time.
A sensor will receive a Pass rating in the Water moving check column if there has been at least one water moving event in the time period that you chose to run the report over.
Result
The final result is based on two conditions:
Whether the temp check has met the required temperature (based on the sensor type).
Whether there has been at least one water movement event.
An overall Pass in the Result column will only be given if both of these conditions have been met within the chosen report period.
