Section 1: Question and Answer

Just like every Energy Insight, the Peak Demand Insight uses utility data for all of the meters you have connected to Aquicore to answer a top question about your building's operations.

As seen in section 1 of the screenshot above, the question (What is the peak demand at my building?) is always found in the top left-hand corner of an Energy Insight.

The answer to this question is found right below the question, with some color coding to add context.

If a building has exceeded its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in RED.
If a building is close to its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in YELLOW.
If a building is well below its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in GREEN.

The example screenshot above displays this building's monthly peak in red because the building exceeded its monthly target.

As you change the time period of this Insight, the answer will always change to reflect the time period you are looking at. (For more information on how to change the time period of your insight, keep reading!)

Section 2: Your Data

This portion of the insight displays the data that is used to answer your question in Section 1. The data is shown in both a Graph and a Table, but these contain the same values.

Your building's Peak Demand target is displayed as the blue line on the graph. Your building's daily Peak Demand value is displayed as a dot.

If a dot is below the target, it will be GREEN. If a dot is above the target it will be RED.

If you want to add more context on any day's demand, you can "drill in" by clicking on a day's "dot".

Doing so will change both the graph and table to display hour-interval data about the day you clicked on. This will give you a better understanding of how your building operated that day.

If you would like to investigate further and see at what time exactly you exceeded your demand target, you can "drill in" further by clicking on any hourly value on the graph.

Once you're done "drilling in" you can return to a higher-level view by clicking on the "Back to previous selection" button.

Section 3: Advanced Analysis

This section is broken into two distinct parts.

The time selector: It allows you to change the time period displayed on the graph so you can understand your building's peak demand over time.
If you choose to display data from this year, you can see your monthly peak in regard to your building's monthly target.

To return to a month view, you can either use the time selector or click on a month to "drill into" that month.

The Export Button: This button allows you to Export Data to CSV- Downloads a spreadsheet of the data currently displayed.
