Section 1: Question and Answer
The Consumption Insight uses the real-time data for all of the meters you have connected to Aquicore to answer an important question about your building's operations. As seen in section 1 of the screenshot above, the question (What is our building's consumption?) is our main question answered by this Insight.
The answer to this is found right below the question, contextualized through a color code.
If a building has exceeded its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in RED. If a building is close to its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in ORANGE. If a building is well below its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in GREEN.
The example screenshot above displays this building's annual consumption in green because the building is well below its annual target.
As you change the time period of this Insight, the answer will always change to reflect the time period you are looking at. (See next section!)
Section 2: Your Data
This portion of the insight displays the data that is used to answer your question in Section 1. The data is shown above in a Bar Graph and below as a Data Table, but these contain the same values.
Your building's Consumption target is displayed as a shaded gray bar behind the smaller green bars that display the actual data. Roll over each bar to see the actual vs target (mirrored below in the table). If the green bar rises above the shaded gray bar, this indicates the monthly target has been exceeded. Below in the table, you will see in the third column a percentage over in red, if this is the case. If this target is not exceeded, you will see a percentage under in green. If it is close to being exceeded, it will show in orange.
If you want to get more granular and see daily consumption, you can drill in by clicking on the bar of the specific month you are interested in looking at.
This will change the bar graph to display daily bars (shown below). If you hover over each individual bar, you will see the daily consumption for that day. The day's information will also be displayed below in the table with the total at the bottom that correlates with the monthly bar on the default display.
Once you're done drilling in you can return to a higher-level view by clicking on the "Back to previous selection" button.
Section 3: Advanced Analysis
This section is broken into two distinct parts.
Time selector (top right of the graph): It allows you to change the time period displayed on the graph so you can understand your building's consumption over time. You can choose between the current year, the trailing year, or the previous year. This will help you understand your usage comparison year to year. If you want to drill back down to a month of an earlier year you can.
Export Button: This button allows you to Export Data to CSV- and Downloads a spreadsheet of the data currently displayed.
