Section 1: Insight Question and Answer
The Baseload Insight uses real-time data from all of the electricity meters you have connected to the Aquicore Platform to answer a top question that will help you improve your building's operations.
As seen in section 1 of the screenshot above, the question (How much energy is used during weekday unoccupied hours at my building?) is always found in the top left-hand corner of an Energy Insight.
A building's baseload is the lowest operating kW it uses when no tenants are in the building, and all nonessential equipment is turned off. It is important to try and get your building to its baseload as soon as your non-operating hours begin because any consumption above the baseload during these hours impacts your building's efficiency and can be costly.
The answer to this Insight's question is found right below the question, with some color coding to add context.
β
If a building has exceeded its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in RED. If a building is close to its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in YELLOW. If a building is well below its monthly target, the answer will be displayed in GREEN.
As you change the time period of this Insight, the answer will always change to reflect the time period you are looking at. (For more information on how to change the time period of your insight, keep reading!)
Section 2: Your Data
This section of Baseload Insight displays the data that is used to answer the question. The data is shown in both a Graph and a Table which show the same values, so whether you prefer visuals or numbers, we've got the answers you're looking for.
The consumption amounts that we pull into this insight from Load Analytics are best understood when you apply the scheduling layer to the kWh view.
The lowest kW value we see for this building is around 400 kW, this is where you should look to set your building's target. The green boxes show you the consumption you expect to consume at your building's baseload. Any consumption above that target is shown in the red boxes, just as it is in the insight.
Section 3: Advanced Analysis
This section is broken into two distinct parts.
Time selector: It allows you to change the time period displayed on the graph so you can understand your building's weekday baseload over time. You can choose between this month, last month, this year, or the previous year. This will help you understand your weekday baseload usage comparison year to year. If you want to drill back down to a month of a previous year you can.
