This guide will show you how to install a DT Touch sensor. However, if you have tried to install a Cloud Connector by following the steps in this guide, but have not been successful, you can try the Identification Method to manually identify the device.
Remember: to make use of feedback panel functionality in Solution Views such as 'How did occupant sentiment change over time?' touch sensors must be installed as feedback panels.
Manual Install for Touch Sensors:
On the Infogrid platform navigate to sensors on the left hand side.
You will see two options at the top right, click on 'Start installation.'
Click Manually identify devices and click on 'Other device.'
Press and hold on the touch sensor for 3 seconds, as shown below:
Click again and you will get a pop up window showing the sensor status, if the sensor shows offline then you can still continue the offline installation.
Press next and then fill in the details as shown in the image below in step 3.
Configure the device in the platform
Attach the sensors to the panel.
Peel off the sticky back and place the sensor on the “place sensor here” square, next to the appropriate feedback section. E.g. if you named the Sensor “Good”, place next to the good feedback area.
Note: for best results, always start with a clean and dry surface. If required, clean the surface as by 3M in this application note.
Manual Install for Gen 1 Cloud Connectors (CCON):
Note: This feature is not possible on the Gen 2 Cloud Connectors
Click on “Identify Sensor” and then press on the area shown below on the Cloud Connector (CCON) for approximately 3 seconds as shown below
If you're having trouble identifying the Cloud Connector using the manual touch method during installation try the following things:
Make sure it is plugged in and you can see a white cloud logo on the Cloud Connector itself to show that it's online.
Make sure you have removed the plastic film on the front of the Cloud Connector. Touches do not register with the film on.
Make sure you are touching in the middle of the lit up square. If the square is not lit up to start with, do not worry, just aim to press it in that area.
If this is still not working it might be that you do not have Edit permissions for the folder that this Cloud Connector is contained within. Speak to your manager, who will need to either:
Give you Edit permissions to the folder that the Cloud Connector is contained within, or:
Move the Cloud Connector into a folder where you already have Edit permissions
