In this article, you will learn how to easily view your energy consumption by meter. This widget is best suited for comparing consumption between meters, although it can be configured to analyze consumption from a single meter over time.

Widget Setup

On the dashboard where you want to add a new Energy Consumption by Meter widget, click Add Widget and select Energy Consumption by Meter in the pop-up.

In the Select Meter step, you will pick the Energy type and then the Company, Portfolio, Building and Meter you want to monitor.

Note: From this view, you will only be able to select buildings that have the KPIs feature turned on and the appropriate data integrated.

Once you have selected your meters, move onto the next step to select a time range and interval.

You now have the option to setup a comparison to previous month, year or portfolio average.

You can also normalize by area (in square footage) or by degree days to eliminate any skews in your data set.

Adjust the title as needed to reflect the details you've built into your widget. Select "Show settings as subtitle" to display the building names on the widget.

After you select Finish, the widget will appear on your dashboard.

Widget Usage & Best Practices

On your Energy Consumption by Meter widget, hover over the chart to view the values. The vertical dotted line will help you situate the date more easily.

If you have selected the comparison option, you can toggle between the actual data and the delta to see the differences immediately.
