To install your devices you need to follow a process called the “Installation Flow.” This is where you physically install the device while also configuring the device in the platform (i.e. move a sensor to a folder location, name the sensor etc.)

Step by Step Guide

Device Installation on the platform:

  1. Go to the Sensors page in the platform

  2. Click Start Installation

  3. Then either scan the QR Code on the side of the sensor to be installed, or click “Manually Identify Device”.

  4. If using “Manually Identify Device”, the LED Pulse or Dry Pulse options will be at the bottom of the list. Click the relevant sensor, and then enter the sensor ID written on the side of the device.

  5. Install location & names

    1. Fill in the location fields, which correspond the the location the sensor is installed into.

    2. Remember: Contact your nominated deployment specialist if the locations you need are not in the drop-down lists.

    3. Then click ‘save’.

  6. Meter settings

    1. On the next screen, enter the indicated readings and settings from the meter to which the sensor is being installed.

  7. Click ‘save’ again to proceed to the last stage of installation.

  8. Monitoring location details

    1. Finally, enter detailed of the monitoring location. This is so that we know which area of the building this meter is supplying electricity for, as well as the end-uses (building services)

  9. Click ‘save’ again to complete installation

  10. Finally, if there are more sensors in the building that require installation, repeat the process from the start.

  11. Pulse sensors should be calibrated 1 week+ after installation to ensure that the settings are correct and data is accurate. Contact your Deployment Specialist on how to do this.
