What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?
SSO is a way for users to authenticate and log into several systems using a single ID. Once SSO is set up, you will be able to use your work email to log into the Infogrid application, getting rid of the need to remember or keep track of a separate password specific to your Infogrid account.
Is SSO right for my organization?
SSO provides a simplified login flow that is increasingly popular with consumer applications, as it removes the need to manage yet another password. By setting up SSO for your organization, users in your organization will be able to log into the Infogrid application within a few clicks.
SSO is particularly useful for organizations or enterprises that have strict password policies in place, which may include but not be limited to password length, characters types that need to be included, or other specific guidelines. By requiring your organization’s users to use SSO logins, you can ensure that all users belonging to your organization are not creating potential security risks through the use of passwords that do not meet the necessary guidelines set by your organization’s IT or Security team.
Additionally, SSO provides a secure way to manage removal of access in case a member of your team has left the organization. By removing a user from your enterprise identity provider, that user will no longer be able to log into the Infogrid application.
How to set-up SSO for my organization
Please get in touch with Infogrid’s Customer Support or Customer Success representative and let them know you would like SSO set-up for your organization. They will first need some information from you or your IT team about the Identity Provider for your organization. Please note that there may need to be some steps taken on your Identity Provider to make this information available and allow SSO logins. Please find your Identity Provider below for further instructions.
Enterprise Identity Providers
Azure Active Directory
1. Create and Configure an App in Azure
Follow the instructions here to register a new app within Azure. For the Redirect URL, enter the following value: https://infogrid.eu.auth0.com/login/callback
. Take a note of the Application (client) ID.
A secret can then be created following the instructions here – take a note of this value.
2. Set the correct permissions for SSO
The following permissions should be added following the instructions here:
Delegated Permissions | Description |
Users > User.Read | So your app can sign in users and read the signed-in users' profiles. |
Directory > Directory.Read.All | So your app can read directory data on the signed-in user's behalf. |
3. Pass on details to our Customer Support team
The noted application ID and secret should be passed to our Customer Support team, also noting that these credentials are for Microsoft Azure AD SSO integration, and specify if you require enforced SSO logins or not (see below for more information on Enforced SSO Logins).
Other Providers
We also support other Enterprise Identity Providers through our 3rd party authentication service, Auth0, and you may find further information through their documentation here.
If you are unable to find information on a provider you are interested in using for SSO, please contact our Customer Support team for further support.
Enforced SSO Logins
There are two possible ways the SSO login can be configured:
Allow SSO logins in addition to the existing user account logins
Allow only SSO logins
Please advise or Customer Service team on your preference or if you would like to change this.
There are various security advantages of enforcing only SSO logins, including enforced password policies and automatic disablement of users.
How to use SSO
Log in using SSO
When navigating to the application you will be presented with the standard log in page where you can enter your Infogrid email and password. If you cannot see this, you may need to select the log out button in the bottom left of the screen.
To log in with your SSO credentials instead, select the LOG IN WITH SSO
button. If your organization has SSO logins enforced then you must select this option to log in.
From this SSO login screen you can enter your email and select CONTINUE
. If you are already logged in within your organization's SSO then you will be logged in right away, otherwise you will be redirected to your organization's SSO page where you will follow your usual login steps, which may include entering your password and performing any multi-factor authentication.

Changing your Password using SSO
When using an SSO login, it is not possible to manage your password through the Infogrid application. Typically your password can be managed through your organization’s enterprise workspace. Our Customer Support team would not be able to help you with this, so please contact your organization’s IT support if you require further assistance regarding your enterprise login credentials.
