Thingsee Presence Sensor

When troubleshooting your Thingsee Presence sensor there are a few things to consider:

  • Avoid strong magnetic fields, fluorescent lights, etc as these can affect sensor connectivity.

  • For the best signal between the sensors and the gateway the distance must be between 15-20 meters

  • It is recommended but not required, to have 2x gateways at each location - incase someone removes one of the gateways, this ensures no data loss. To discuss adding a second gateway where you only have 1, please speak to your CSM.

Troubleshooting Thingsee Presence Sensor

  • Open the sensor and remove the batteries for a few minutes

  • Reinsert the batteries after a few minutes

  • You will see red blinking light to say it is on again

  • If there is no blinking light the sensor may be faulty

If the above troubleshooting steps did not resolve the issue, please contact Infogrid Support.

Hints & Tips

  • When installing the sensor, the light should blink once. If there is no blinking light check that the battery strip has properly been removed.

  • A tool is provided with the sensors to assist with opening the battery chamber. If you happen to lose or misplace that, you cause the bottom of a spoon/keys, anything with a hard flat surface instead.
