User permissions are permissions granted to members of your organization that give them viewing access to the sensor data. With the permission system you can select which of your organization’s sensors or folders different users are able to see.

Depending on your organization’s structure and the use-cases you have deployed, it might be beneficial to limit user access only to those folders and sensors that a specific user needs access to, which may also be in line with GDPR requirements.

Example: A manager may need to see all sensors across an entire estate, but an engineer may only need to see sensors in a particular building.

Hints & Tips

Permissions can be given both to individual users and teams (a group of users).
