Installation
Install the LaunchPad in a secure location such as an enclosure, panel, or rackmount panel
Use din rail mounting hardware or other means to secure device properly
Secure all power and network cables properly
Configuration:
Plug in the power cord to your LaunchPad device.
Plug one end of a network cable into Port 1 of the LaunchPad and the other end into a router on the facility’s network.
Plug one end of a second network cable into your computer or laptop and the other end into the Service Port (Port 2) of the LaunchPad.
Change your computer network settings as appropriate to access the LaunchPad configuration in a web browser on the Service Port IP address provided above.
Log in using the default credentials provided above.
Change the IP settings as required. Refer to your IP Configuration Worksheet for setting options. Outbound internet access is required for the LaunchPad to work properly.
To confirm outbound connectivity, open another browser window and log into https://skyspark-routing.cloud.buildingsiot.com/ with credentials you have already received by email. If you have not received credentials contact your Partner Success Manager to confirm connectivity.
If the LaunchPad is connected you will see the SkySpark Home screen. Otherwise, you will see a blank screen with the text “Project Not Available.” If this occurs, please double check your IP settings.
To test BACnet communication click on the Field Bus Integration App on the SkySpark Home screen. Click Create Device or Discover Devices in order to confirm connectivity to BACnet devices.
Additional Steps for Dual Network Configuration
These steps are required if the BACnet/BMS network does not have outbound internet access and the LaunchPad requires dual network configuration.
Confirm that your IP Configuration Worksheet includes a second IP configuration for the BMS/BACnet network. If it does not, consult your IT/BMS department to identify the correct IP settings for the second port.
Once you’ve confirmed the LaunchPad is connected (see Step 7 & 8 above), disconnect your computer from the service port and connect the Service Port of the LaunchPad to a router on the BACnet/BMS network.
Contact your Partner Success Manager for final configuration.
