Setting Up Your ENERGY STAR Integration

In this article, we will walk you through how to connect Aquicore & ENERGY STAR.

A few housekeeping items:

-In order to take advantage of Aquicore's ENERGY STAR Integration, you must have an existing Portfolio Manager Online Account, with properties and meters set up.
-Aquicore currently supports the syncing of any main utility meter, utility submeter, and utility bills that have meters on the bill to ENERGY STAR. Most (if not all) automatically synced bills are supported, but manually uploaded bills are not supported.
-Aquicore pushes your building's consumption data to EnergyStar on a daily basis - however, - ENERGY STAR waits until the 15th of every month to use all of that usage data to update your score for the prior month. For example, on March 15th, your February ENERGY STAR score will be calculated in Portfolio Manager online, and the will immediately reflect in your Aquicore platform.

Let's get started!

1. Go to Portfolio Manager Online and log in to your account

2. In the upper right-hand corner of your screen, click the 'Contacts' tab, then click 'Add Contact'

3. In the field 'Name', search 'Aquicore - LPC Enterprise' (Not 'Aquicore Services' this is unique to the LPC process), then click 'Connect' next to 'Aquicore - LPC Enterprise' in the list on the right

4. Navigate back to your Contacts list to make sure you see the pending connection to Aquicore in your list of contacts. If you don't see the connection made within 24 hours send a note to support@aquicore.com and let them know your Portfolio Manager username.

5. Navigate to the 'Sharing' tab and click 'Share (or Edit Access to) a Property'

6. Use the drop downs to select 'Aquicore - LPC Enterprise', and share whichever properties you have online with Aquicore and would like to sync.

7. Select 'Bulk Sharing' and then 'Full Access'

8. Click the 'Share Property' tab

9. Verify that you see 'Aquicore - LPC Enterprise' in the shared properties table with the correct number of properties

10. Aquicore will sync your real-time data with the Energy Star meters. This data will not line up exactly with bill data dates but is accepted by EPA which calendarizes the data regardless of bill dates.
