What’s New in Noda: May 2026

Project Impact Enhancement + Multi-Utility Savings

Written by Jack Spruill

This month, we’re excited to roll out several enhancements to how we calculate project impact. This is a major expansion of how savings and value are tracked within Noda.

Previously, project savings were limited to electricity usage only. With this release, teams can now track savings across multiple utility types while also capturing maintenance-related operational savings, creating a more complete view of project impact across their portfolio.

What You Can Now Track

Projects now support savings for:

• Electricity (Usage + Demand)
• Natural Gas
• Water
• District Steam
• District Chilled Water
• District Hot Water
• Maintenance Savings

Maintenance Savings

A new Maintenance Savings section allows users to capture the financial value of avoided maintenance costs directly within projects. Two calculation methods are supported:

Annualized Total Cost of Ownership Savings — based on Replacement Cost and Effective Useful Life (Reduced vs. Rated)

Optimized Maintenance Savings — based on Labor Hours and the difference between emergency/overtime labor rates and standard labor rates
