New Energy Insights + Impact Metrics

Written by Jack Spruill
Updated over a week ago

This month, we’re excited to introduce a new set of energy insights designed to help teams quickly identify inefficiencies in their buildings. Additionally, we are adding improved value metrics to help teams understand the impact behind these insights.

For the first time, insights are available for meter-based data, expanding powerful analytics capabilities beyond BMS integrations.

New Insights Available

This release introduces six new insights:

Elevated Load Overnight – Detects unexpected energy use outside normal overnight schedules
Elevated Load During Weekends – Flags buildings consuming energy during unoccupied weekend periods
Elevated Load During Holiday – Identifies unnecessary energy use during holidays
Optimum Start Opportunity – Highlights buildings that are starting equipment earlier than necessary
Baseload Shift – Detects increases in baseline energy usage during unoccupied periods
Power Data Anomaly – Identifies irregularities such as spikes or gaps in power data

These insights help teams quickly identify inefficiencies that may otherwise go unnoticed. For a full breakdown of all Noda insights, click here.

Insight Impact Metrics

Insights now include value metrics that estimate the impact of each issue. These metrics are designed to help teams prioritize improvements and focus on the issues with the greatest impact. For each insight, users can now see:

Estimated electricity usage
Estimated utility spend
