Floor plans are designed to provide an overview of occupant comfort or wellbeing data such as temperature and air quality, along with the status of connected devices. This article will guide you on how to read our floor plans effectively and understand the different categories.
Note: Availability of data depends on the installed device / sensors. If you are not seeing certain data that you expect to see, please contact Noda Support.
Navigate to Floor Plans
To access the floor plans, first navigate to the "Buildings" section and click on the "Floors" tab. From there, select the desired floor.
The floor plan of the selected floor will appear:
Floor Plan Options
At the top of the floor plan, you will find dropdown options to select the specific type of device you want to monitor and the type of information.
There are 3 device categories available:
HVAC
VAVs
FCUs
Unit Heather
Radiant Floor Heaters
Lighting
Lighting Zones
Environmental Sensors
Air Quality
There are also 4 types of information available:
Comfort
Air Exchange
Communication Status
Automated Demand Management
Note: To ensure accurate information, be sure to select the appropriate device for the corresponding type of information.
Each view has its own legend, which will help you identify any potential issues.
Floor Plan Views
Comfort
The Comfort view looks for an effective setpoint to color the zones.
You can quickly see which rooms are above or below your setpoint and may impact the comfort of the occupants. It can be Effective Zone Temp Cooling Setpoint, Effective Zone Temp Heating Setpoint or Effective Zone Temp Setpoint.
Click on the desired area to view more details. A panel will appear on the right with information about the room and device.
Click on the device to adjust your set point. You can also create a Work Request directly from this view by clicking on the + symbol.
Air Exchange
To access data on Air Exchange, select VAVs and Air Exchange in the filtering option.
Note: To view information in this floor plan, you need to have the proper sensors installed.
Similar to the comfort view, there will be a legend to help you understand the color code specific to this floor plan.
Click on the desired area to obtain more information. A panel will appear on the right with information about the room and device.
Click on the device to adjust your setpoint. You can also directly create a Work Request from this view by clicking on the + symbol.
Note: If the set point has been overridden, you will see a small yellow triangle next to the setpoint.
Communication Status
In this view, you can see which devices are on and which are not. The system retrieves this information from the device status.
Select the desired device, and a new floor plan will appear.
The legend on the left will help you understand which devices are on and which are off.
Click on the desired area to obtain more information. A panel will appear on the right with information about the room and device.
Lighting Zone
To view which rooms have the lights on, select this filter.
To adjust the settings of a specific area, click on it. A right panel will appear.
In this panel you can:
Select a lighting scene
Enable daylight control
Define a light level set point
By clicking on Charts, you can see the light level setpoint over a specific timeframe.
Note: You can export this view as a .png or .csv as needed.
Air Quality
When selecting this filter, a floor plan with the air quality will be displayed.
Choose which data you want to monitor:
Note: To be able to access this view, you need to have the right sensors installed.
Similar to the others, a legend on the top right will help you easily identify areas that require attention. The measurement will vary depending on what you are tracking.
The Overall option allows you to quickly assess the state of a room or area.
When clicking on a sensor, a right panel will appear with more information on the data point. It will also provide an overall score of the air quality.
You can also view the history of the air quality by clicking on ‘Charts’.
You can select the time frame you want to monitor and select the measurements you’re tracking by clicking on the 3 dots.
You can also export this view and share it with the appropriate parties.
Additionally, you can also easily monitor any work requests linked to this sensor.
